Urdu Newspapers of Pakistan

The national language of Pakistan is Urdu and for this very reason newspapers published in Pakistan are mostly in Urdu. You can observe this trend on Daily Express Pk where all the major dailies are in Urdu. Urdu newspapers are also accompanied by English newspapers but sadly the literacy rate of Pakistan isn't good enough and the masses do not understand English which now one could say is the official language of the world. The rate of readers of Urdu newspapers is increasing day by day which actually shows that how many people are interested in reading. We can’t ignore the fact that we have readers who don’t read Urdu newspapers but on the other hand the majority depicts the likes of newspapers in Urdu.

In earlier times, there were only a couple publishers who used to publish their newspapers in Urdu but with the passage of time more printing media agencies popped out and give the readers a lot of options of selecting among them. Pakistani newspaper in Urdu has a great impact on the readers because it follows a very unique pattern and has a trick up its sleeves to get the attention of the Pakistani reader.

As Pakistan is not a country that is fully digitized so the print media still plays a vital and integral role for the people of Pakistan. The digital media though has come by far hasn't yet started to play the exact role in Pakistan as compared to the contribution it is doing in other parts of the world.

Pakistani newspapers in Urdu are very economical and the price doesn't discriminate between the high and low kudos. People also like to read articles on current affairs which are written by the top-notch individuals of this society. Their recommendation and suggestion are taken very seriously as they usually talk with the real facts that a human nature is always in search of.

Furthermore, now are also available on the internet as well. BBC Urdu is one such example, the news on the websites are updated regularly which helps the reader in getting a better understanding of the current affairs. These newspaper agencies or print media have a dominance in Pakistan because the people are still relying on it and the current stats depict that this trend will stay for a longer period.

ONLINE NEWS- Advantages and Disadvantages

The newspaper companies hadn't come to terms with the fact of news being aired on television, when all of a sudden the arrival of internet brought a crucial blow to the newspaper industry. Most of the newspapers have not been able to handle the onslaught and have been forced into closure.

The advantages of online news are mainly for the readers. The e-news is much faster than the newspapers. You can simply log on to say Daily Express and read all the news you want. The moment something happens in any part of the world it gets published on the internet within seconds. In case of newspapers there is a specific time limit for any news to be reported in a newspaper on a particular date. Most of the newspapers go for printing at midnight, anything that happens after midnight will not feature the particular news until the next edition gets on to the roller of the huge printing machines. On the other hand e-news usually gets updated several times in 24 hours. Provided one has access to the internet, one does not have to wait for the delivery man to deliver the newspaper. While taking the environment into consideration E-news is more friendly to the nature.
There  are some disadvantages online news but primarily for the newspaper publishers. The rates of subscriptions and advertisements are greatly reduced in case of online news which in return decreases the revenue generated from the printed version as the number of readers of online news increases.
With all the prevailing situation there remain only few ways that the newspapers can cope up with the blow they have taken from e-news. Some of the newspapers charge subscription to the readers that like to read more than what is offered for free. The link "more"  can be used which makes the user to pay the subscription charges if he wants to read the complete news.

Newspaper publishers have now realized the fact that if they want the newspaper to survive they have to publish the newspaper in print as well as online on the internet
