Proxy Server and its Functions

Proxy server is basically a computer program that work like other program. But there are some functions added into these programs. It sends request to the computer or send to other computer in a network.

These servers can be used in proxy websites. Means to unblock different types of blocked websites, for example to unblock YouTube and other blocked websites from anywhere and easily. 

There are many types and function of these servers. The entire internet is based on proxy servers. In internet there are unlimited servers connected to the internet. Actually these proxy servers direct the user to internet. Proxy servers or internet servers make users able to watch videos online, watch online audio or video streaming, send files, chat with other users etc. Proxy server acts as fire wall or intermediary between the internet connection and user of internet.   

When the user requests a function for example for downloading a file or something like this, the server connects the user request to the server that can fulfil the user needs. There are many types of proxy servers available online from which some are given below. 

Gateway servers:  

Servers that transfer the user information and data without modifying called gateway proxy servers.

Content Filtering Server:

Server that use for filtering purpose called content filtering server. This type of server normally use in organization and other places like schools, colleges to prevent misuse of resources. 

Firewall server:

This server use for security purpose, it make the user secure from the out coming thread from internet.
