ICC New Rules to Reset Reviews after 80 Overs

The international cricket council chief executives committee met in Dubai and discuss many of cricket issues. According to express news the meeting was conducted on the new issues in cricket related to DRS and reviews options for both fielding and batting team. The major decision of ICC in which they agreed that the number of team and fielding reviews available to a team in a Test match will be refreshed or will be topped up to two more after every 80 overs in an innings.  The trial will start from the October 1 of this year in all matches of Tests in which the DRS is used. The result will be monitored by the working committee or group of ICC, according to a media release from international cricket council.

The latest workshop of chief executive committee (CEC) received a report on the latest outcomes from the recent workshop which was of three days duration for international umpires and match referee. According to daily express news the CEC members confirmed the news of their support for international umpires and the spirit of the game, which is also under the laws of cricket require that the umpire’s decision should be accepted without any question. It means that chatting with field umpire will not be allowed for the batsman which once announce as out. The workshop also receive the report of DRS history of last year and also get updates on the latest technology trail that was conducted during the old Trafford Test match between Australia and England.
